Dr LATIKA KUMARI MISHRA

Dr. Latika Kumari Mishra received her education from D.A.V College, Koraput, Berhampur University. She did doctorate in Education from Berhampur University, Odisha and qualified NET in Education. Along with the academic qualifications she also completed online courses/training on Action Research, Use of OER in Teaching and Learning and Use of ICT to Enrich Teaching and Learning. She started her work as a teacher in DM school, RIE Bhubaneswar and later on in Dudhari M.E School, Koraput. She has extensive work experience with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and UNICEF, both at District and State level as Pedagogy Specialist. She has been nominated as a Consultant for the State of Orissa by SRUTI – A Delhi based National Organisation to run a Literacy Project in Orissa. She has also worked with NCERT as the State Research Officer for the Evaluation of Multilingual Education Programme in Orissa.
In IGNOU she joined as Assistant Regional Director on 24th May, 2011 at Regional Centre, Koraput. She has attended a lot of National and International Seminars and Workshops on different issues and areas of Education and has published research articles in reputed Journals. In Regional Centre she is looking after the Admission, Promotion and Advertisements of IGNOU Prgrammes, Activation of various IGNOU Programmes in study centres, B.Ed Counselling, Change of subjects, and other convergence/ collaborative projects and regional need based programmes. She had also worked as the Project Coordinator for the IGNOU-UNICEF Project, undertaken for the imparting of Orientation in English to the teachers in Koraput District under the Department of ST/SC Development, Government of Odisha and coordinating the project undertaken for the translation of CIG(Certificate in Guidance) materials into Odia.
